With today’s abundance of WiFi technology, mobility and connectivity, laptops are becoming more and more popular nowadays. Almost everyone we know would have a laptop. Laptops or notebook computers got increasingly popular during the early parts of the 2000s and its popularity seems here to stay and with good reason.

Our notebook computers have evolved to suit different needs and purposes. It is convenient because it carries the same power as a desktop computer (sometimes even more) minus the bulk. There are a lot of advantages that a laptop has over a desktop computer. A laptop by virtue of its size, uses less space than a desktop computer would. A laptop also uses up less power because it goes into sleep or hibernate mode when it is not in use. It also produces less heat than would a desktop computer.  It is these qualities and more that make people convert into buying a laptop over a desktop computer.

There are different types of notebook computers. Some of them include, ultraportable notebooks, desktop replacement notebooks, executive notebooks, rugged or semi rugged notebooks and netbooks.
